Paul Herrera was appointed Airport Manager for the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) in July 2014 and is currently serving as the Airport Manager for the Van Nuys Airport. Mr. Herrera started his career with LAWA in 2000 as an Airport Operations Coordinator and later became an Airport Superintendent and Chief of Operations for Airside, Terminals, Guest Experience, and Emergency Management at Los Angeles International Airport.
Mr. Herrera has assumed positions of increased levels of responsibility for the last 28 years. He has performed similar and related work at Santa Monica Airport, Hollywood Burbank Airport, Van Nuys Airport and Ontario International Airport. Mr. Herrera has participated in study and research at the National Academy of Sciences, Transportation Research Board in Washington D.C., where he served as a panel member for the Airport Cooperative Research Program and provided input on airport related matters to include airfield safety considerations. Mr. Herrera earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, is a certified member of the American Association of Airport Executives and is a certified private and instrument-rated pilot.
