LAWA Sustainability Symposium Highlights Strategies for Aviation Industry to Help Fight Climate Change
(Los Angeles, CA) As climate change becomes the defining issue of a generation, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) today hosted a Sustainability Symposium to provoke discussions about how to tackle this looming threat in part through sustainable aviation practices – including through development of a new LAWA Sustainability Action Plan.
Overnight Lane Closures Slated on Century Boulevard
Installation of a new Los Angeles Department of Water and Power ductbank for the United Airlines East Aircraft Maintenance Hangar project will require overnight lane closures on Century Boulevard between Airport Boulevard and Avion Drive, east of LAX. Typically two lanes will be closed at one time, either on the eastbound or westbound roadway.

LAX BREAKS GROUND ON INTERMODAL TRANSPORTATION FACILITY - WEST, A KEY COMPONENT OF THE LANDSIDE ACCESS MODERNIZATION PROGRAM
(Los Angeles, CA) Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti joined Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) leadership and elected officials for a ceremonial groundbreaking for the Intermodal Transportation Facility – West (ITF-West), a key component of Los Angeles International Airport’s (LAX) Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP). Located between Westchester Parkway and 96th Street, the ITF-West, a parking structure and mobility hub, will be the first component of LAX’s modernization projects to be completed, opening in 2021. Two new roadways – Jetway Boulevard and 93rd Street – will provide direct access to the facility.
LAX Guests Reminded of Service Changes on Metro Green Line Starting This Weekend
