About
"Terminal Vertical Cores are essentially new front doors to terminals at LAX that create new connection points between LAX's terminals and the Automated People Mover's stations. Opening in phases, the seven projects provide passengers with multi-level travel options via escalators, elevators and stairs to link to the APM system, concessions, baggage, restrooms, lounges and other offerings that bring LAX’s travelers’ convenience and ease.
Passengers will experience the new Terminal Vertical Cores at Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3, Tom Bradley International Terminal, between Terminals 4 and 5 (Terminal 4.5), between Terminals 5 and 6 (Terminal 5.5) at Terminal 7.
Both the Tom Bradley International and Terminal 5.5 core are being designed to earn Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification. "
